How To Find Us

Whether you’re arriving from across the city or across the country, getting to the dock is simple.

On foot

  • From Lime Street Station: A 15-20 minute walk. Walk through the city centre via Church Street and Liverpool ONE.
  • From the Cruise Terminal / Pier Head: A 10-minute walk south along the river, past the Three Graces and the Museum of Liverpool.

By train

  • Local (Merseyrail): Hop off at James Street Station. It’s a 5-minute walk from the platform to the dock.
  • National (Lime Street): National rail services arrive at Lime Street. From here, you can either walk (20 mins) or take a quick two-minute “Loop Line” underground train to James Street.

By bus

  • City buses: The Liverpool ONE Bus Station is located directly across the road from the dock. Almost every major city bus route ends here.
  • National Express: The coach station is located at Liverpool ONE, just a 2-minute walk from our entrance.
  • City sightseeing: The “Hop-on, Hop-off” tour buses all have a dedicated stop right outside our main gates.

By car

  • Follow the tourist signs for ‘Waterfront’ and ‘Albert Dock’ from all major approach roads (M62 and A550).
  • From Birkenhead: Use the Queensway Tunnel, which brings you out directly into the heart of Liverpool City Centre. As you exit, follow the signs for ‘The Waterfront’, it’s just a few minutes’ drive from the tunnel to our gates.
  • From Wallasey/M53: Use the Kingsway Tunnel, which is the best route if you’re coming from New Brighton or via the M53. Once you exit in Liverpool, follow the signs for ‘City Centre’ and then ‘The Waterfront’.
  • On-Site Parking: We have secure, 24-hour parking available right on the Dock (L3 4AN).
