Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is set to welcome the Nao Santa María, a remarkable replica of the historic vessel that played a decisive role in one of the most significant events in world history, the discovery of the Americas.
The impressive ship will dock at Royal Albert Dock from 12 to 25 August, giving visitors a unique opportunity to step back in time and experience life at sea during the Age of Exploration.
As part of its new historical outreach tour, supported by Huelva Provincial Council, Liverpool has been selected as one of just 30 ports to host the vessel this year. The tour aims to bring maritime history to life, offering an immersive insight into one of the greatest nautical achievements ever undertaken.
During its stay, visitors of all ages will be invited on board to explore the ship’s decks and interior spaces, discover what daily life was like for sailors in the 15th century and learn more about the voyages that helped shape the course of world history.
Open daily from 10am to 8pm, the experience combines history, culture and education, making it an ideal summer activity for families, history enthusiasts and visitors to the waterfront.
Whether you’re fascinated by maritime heritage or simply looking for a unique day out on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront, the Nao Santa María promises an unforgettable journey into the past. Book tickets here: tickets.velacuadra.es
