Where to enjoy spring bank holiday weekend
With sunshine and blue skies set for the long weekend, there’s plenty to see, do and explore around the dock to make the most of the extra day.
The Long Shot
Teaming up with McLaren for the occasion, the dock’s resident sports bar will be home to a Formula 1 simulator on Sunday 28th between 12pm-4:30pm. The top times will then go into a draw, with one lucky person winning an F1 team experience in Britain.
Those who favour footie over F1 needn’t worry, as the bar will also be showing matches from Survival Sunday.
Maritime Museum
With this weekend marking the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic, head to the Maritime Museum to discover Liverpool’s seafaring past. Home to a section of free exhibitions and displays, travel in time with On The Waterfront, and learn about the famous Liverpool liner with Lusitana: Life, Loss, Legacy.
Burnt Milk Hotel
On Sunday 28th May, join Burnt Milk Hotel for a full bodied blend of disco and house music. Enjoy vinyl only DJ sets from Fairhurst and Mark Hanson from 1pm-6pm, accompanied with an extensive cocktail, coffee and wine menu with this free to enter party.
Lunyalita
Kick start the bank holiday weekend celebrations with a trip to Lunyalita for a Beatles-themed quiz night on Friday 26th. From 7pm-9pm, dance or sing-along to the Fab Four’s famous hits, which are played flamenco-style by their resident guitarist, while tucking into a selection of Spanish tapas dishes.
