Royal Albert Dock Liverpool voted one of the UK’s best viewpoints

With its rippling waves and iconic red colonnades, Royal Albert Dock has been named as one of the best viewpoints in the UK, showing the importance of snapping a shot or two while you’re here.

The exclusive list was complied by American bank, Remitly, who analysed more than one million TripAdvisor reviews to find which spots received the most positive comments in regards to the view on offer. Beating Cloud 23 in Manchester and Hengistbury Head beach in Bournemouth, Liverpool’s landmark dock has been ranked as the 5th best in the UK.

For a breathtaking sight of the dock, perfectly framed by the Liverpool Wheel, head to Hartley Quay bridge for a photo worthy of being framed. Alternatively, if you’re after a panoramic shot of the colonnades, visit Salthouse Quay Bridge for views of the Liverpool Mountain and the range of venues calling the dock home.
