Royal Albert Dock is named as one of the most photographed buildings

Royal Albert Dock has been ranked as the UK’s 5th most photographed building at night, with 100 out of every 1,000 pictures of the dock being snapped once the sun had set.

The data, gathered by Buildworld, analysed more than 10 million images on the photography website Flickr to identify famous buildings with the highest percentage of its pictures being tagged ‘night’.

With Wells Cathedral in Somerset taking the top spot, having 142 nighttime shots per every 1,000 pictures of the site, the dock beat several impressive buildings across the UK. This included The Shard in London which ranked 7th, and historical sites such as Shakespeare’s Globe, ranking 10th.

Make the most of the shorter days with a trip to the dock. With the colonnades’ twinkling lights currently being seen as early as 4pm, giving a warm and welcoming glow for all visitors, snap a shot of Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront. Whether it’s a stroll around the shops, a date-night dinner or a waterfront wander, the dock provides a fitting location.
