This Mother’s Day, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is inviting families to celebrate the mother-figures in their lives with a city-wide gesture of appreciation by gifting 2,000 daffodils and hosting uplifting performances from local, female-led choirs.
Taking place on Sunday, 15th March, the dock will give away 2,000 daffodils arranged in 400 bunches. These will be available to pick up from the Martin Luther King Jr plateau and in Britania Courtyard (by The Beatles Story), from 12pm to 1pm, and will be gifted to mums on a first-come, first-served basis.
Adding an extra personal touch, each bunch will include a special gift tag for children to colour in and customise. On the reverse, there’s space for little ones to write why they love their mum, creating a heartfelt keepsake to make the gesture even more meaningful.
The floral giveaway will be accompanied by a 60-minute live performance taking place in the same locations at the dock. Visitors can enjoy harmonies from local choirs, Singing Our Socks Off and Liverpool Singers, who will provide a relaxed and uplifting soundtrack as families arrive singing her praises in celebration of Mother’s Day.
Those looking to make a day of it can indulge in delicious dining across the dock, from an indulgent Sunday Sharing Board at Miller & Carter, complete with a 10oz steak, to a succulent roast at The Botanist, where mums can enjoy a complimentary Mother’s Day cocktail. For those searching for the perfect gift, visitors can browse beautifully illustrated cards, candles and thoughtful homeware at The Nest, or discover crystals, jewellery and unique treasures at Nature’s Treasure.
With thoughtful gestures, live music and plenty to enjoy across the estate, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool offers the perfect backdrop for a memorable Mother’s Day.
