Two venues at Royal Albert Dock have been named among the top winners at the prestigious Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2024.
The annual ceremony, which recognises excellence across the city region’s visitor economy sector, is delivered by Liverpool City Region’s Local Visitor Economy Partnership and the Combined Authority.
Taking place at the historic Liverpool Cathedral on Thursday 27th February guests were welcomed with a drinks reception sponsored by Liverpool Football Club with entertainment from VIP Puppets and students from LIPA, with the evening being hosted by television and radio presenter, Kevin Duala.
Among the 20 categories was the International Tourism Award – a brand new category for this year, which recognises businesses that provide an unforgettable visitor experience for international visitors. Top attraction, The Beatles Story was triumphant over three other shortlisted businesses to claim the award.
Meanwhile, Maray’s sister venue, The One O’Clock Gun beat four shortlisted venues to be crowned pub of the Year, a testament to its welcoming atmosphere and first-class offering.
