Half term hotspots for family fun

With a whole week to fill this half term, whether your little ones want to unleash their creativity, solve puzzling riddles or simply tuck into some delicious food, Royal Albert Dock has plenty of activities to keep boredom at bay.

Shop for new season gifts

Wandering around the dock’s selection of shops is a great way to spend a day, and you’ll find lots of new season gifts that all the family will love.

The Nest has a gorgeous selection of pin badges, bookmarks, keyrings and kits; give kids a summer wardrobe update with cool graphic tees and hoodies at Lost Soles, or enjoy the sweet treat of handmade crumbly fudge from Roly’s Fudge.

Discover secrets of the sea with Maritime Museum

At the Maritime Museum, children can go on a journey of discovery to hear fascinating tales of Liverpool’s seagoing past and present.

Join the free Dockwatch workshop to learn about wildlife in the dock’s rippling waters on 3rd and 4th June, or take over 5’s for a free drop-in storytelling session with Polar the Titanic bear on 30th and 31st May.

Dine out with menu specials

Take a trip around the world with the dock’s selection of restaurants and their children-friendly menus. From flavoursome Thai treats at Rosa’s Thai, Spanish feasts with the children’s tapas meal deal at Lunyalita, to playful plates at Smugglers cove, there’s plenty of cuisines to keep everyone happy.

Be inspired at Tate Liverpool

Along with their free displays, Tate Liverpool has a week of free workshops for half term so everyone can get creative in the gallery’s family space. From May 27 to June 4, between 11am and 3pm every day, little artists can pick up a free Explore and Draw sketchbook, enjoy drawing challenges and create their own masterpieces inspired by Tate’s collections.

Enjoy a spin on our Victorian Carousel

Providing an enchanting welcome to the dock, this Victorian attraction twirls between Gusto and The Pumphouse. Open seven days a week from 11am-6pm, head down for a ride on a string of colourful carousel horses.

Go on a rabbit hole adventure with Escape Hunt

Enter the wonderful world of Lewis Carroll with a new Return to Wonderland outdoor game at Escape Hunt. The clock is ticking and, by order of the Queen of Hearts, you’ll help the White Rabbit to find all the pieces of her shattered looking glass and bring her citizens back in 90 minutes of mind-boggling fun for all ages.
