Throughout February, we’ve been lighting up the waterfront with a thrilling spectacle of fire and light for our Fiesta of Fire campaign, welcoming crowds of local and further-a-field visitors to enjoy the family-friendly free shows.
From a 3-metre high fire breathing dragon puppet, who goes by the name of Bessie, who kick started the festivities on the launch weekend, to a series of captivating performances from Bring the Fire Project across the 3 weekends, the dock has been a hot-spot of buzzing activity.
Flaming sword fights, fire juggling, huge martial arts style rope darts and a giant fire star are just some of the captivating choreographed acts that visitors have enjoyed, not to mention a variety of flaming cocktails and fiery dishes from the bars and restaurants which set taste buds tingling.
We’ve loved seeing your photos and videos on Instagram, with some highlights shown below, and don’t worry if you didn’t get a chance to see the Fiesta of Fire festivities this time around, as we’ll be bringing it back next year bigger and better than ever!
