Our best bits

28th February, 2020

This weekend we waved goodbye to our magical winter projection series...

As the evenings get lighter we’re saying goodbye to our stunning series of winter projections. To celebrate the last four months of amazing light projections, we screened a show reel of our best bits on Saturday 29 Feb and Sunday 1 March evening.

The series has featured over ten unique projections, which have lit up the Dock since the end of October. Do you remember when...

Halloween kicked us off with a fright, before we embraced Guy Fawkes Night at the River of Light, with Sam Wiehl’s Portal projection. In November, we remembered, and sparkled in support of the NSPCC Christmas appeal. Love returned for our Christmas story, swiftly followed with lonely hearts for our Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club exclusive.

2020 began brightly in a blaze of colourful digital fireworks, whilst January gave us time to reflect as we paid homage to our heritage with photos from the Dock archive. February saw us celebrate the Year of the Rat, before we said it with love for Valentine’s and Alex proposed to his childhood sweetheart Michelle. And we rounded things up with pride and a celebration of all things Scouse, for Global Scouse Day.

We’ve seen a riot of colour; romance, nostalgia and celebrations. It’s been a great year for events, activities and new openings at the Dock, and our incredible projections have drawn hundreds of new visitors. Thanks for watching – gasping – sharing your love letters and being part of it!
