Nothing says you’ve enjoyed a day at the seaside quite like a stick of rock, it’s got to be the ultimate sweet souvenir, so head to Quayside Confectionary and you’ll find some there along with a rainbow range of other retro favourites, jelly beans, cinder toffee and Everton mints, and even some American candy imports.

Chip cone from Docklands Fish and Chips - £3
There must be a law that says you’ve got to have fish and chips at the seaside – or maybe it’s just being by the sea that gets your tastebuds craving it? Docklands Fish and Chips are masters of the classic British chippy treat – light crispy batter, mushy peas and cooked-to-perfection chips ready to douse in vinegar, with the chips available to take away in our seaside cones.
