A meal with the Maray chefs

Missing Maray? Not any more, with these try-at-home recipes from the team…

Maray has become a bonafide Liverpool favourite in five short years. Now with three restaurants across the city, including its beautiful Dockside den, it was born of a desire to bring a taste of Paris’ Fourth arrondissement to Liverpool. Maray serves up small plates inspired by Middle Eastern flavours, alongside a legendary reputation for great cocktails and wine. The team’s been busy in lockdown creating videos to share some of the tools of the trade with diners and drinkers who’re missing its mouthwatering menu.

Maray Cauliflower
Maray Falafel

Baking bread has become one of the classic lockdown skills. Mix it up a bit with this pitta bread recipe from Harry.

Falafels are a stalwart of the Maray menu – it’s almost impossible to eat there without adding at least one portion to your order. Learn how to make your own lockdown falafels with head chef Jay…

Not to forget, of course, the cocktails… As the sun shines and we take solace in small pleasures, this Figside cocktail with Tom is our new evening classic.

And, if you’ve been missing the disco cauli more than you thought possible, then they’ve covered that too. Watch below to find out how you can make your own from the comfort of home…

We can’t wait to see which secrets they share next. Keep an eye here for the next dish on the lockdown list.
