With the festive season underway, here are some of the best and most Christmassy things to do at the dock to get you in the mood for the Yuletide celebrations.

Festive selfie spots

Capture the magic of Christmas with selfie opportunities around the dock for the ultimate festive photo, including an immersive yellow submarine in Britannia Courtyard, a dazzling jellyfish duo in front of the Martin Luther King Jr. Building, Neptune and Triton standing tall at the entrance, and Liver Bird duo Bertie and Bella in Anchor Courtyard and on Gower Street.

For a party celebration, you can’t get much more fun than bottomless brunch and PANAM has a Christmas one that’s ideal for groups of friends or workmates. Priced at £39pp for 90 minutes of fun, dishes include a Christmas burger stacked with beef patty, pulled turkey, brie with onion mayo, plus a choice of bottomless drinks with a Christmas spritz top of the list.

Revolution

Putting a twist on the traditional afternoon tea, take a trip to wonderland with Revolution’s Afternoon CuriosiTea Party. Perfect for smaller groups who love the magic of Christmas, savour crispy fried turkey with chilli cranberry jam, pigs in blankets, a Christmas Pudding Waffle and more for £15, with  vegetarian and vegan options also available.

Escape Hunt

With all the relatives over for Christmas, there’s no better place for some family bonding than trying to beat the clock at Escape Hunt. With a variety of rooms to test your puzzling-solving knowledge, either sail the seven seas with Blackbeard’s Treasure or step into a world of gods and monsters with The Last Viking.

Revolución de Cuba

Take the festivities to new heights (and locations) with a trip to Cuba without having to leave Liverpool. Running throughout the Christmas period, Revolución de Cuba is hosting a 90-minute brunch fiesta complete with new additions: a Quesadilla Festiva and Gingle Juice cocktail for £15.

The One O'Clock Gun

Find a one-off gift for the vinyl collector in your life – or maybe just give yourself a pre-Christmas treat – at The One O’Clock Gun’s pop-up Record Store on Sunday December 17 from 12 to 5pm. 81 Renshaw Street will be curating the albums, and there’ll be DJs playing funk, soul and hip-hop all day and night.

Burnt Milk Hotel

Here’s a magnifique way to celebrate the festive season especially if you’re a keen wine lover. Raise a glass (or a few) at Burnt Milk Hotel in Anchor Courtyard on Friday December 15 where they’re hosting a Very French Christmas evening with selected wines and a playlist of French tunes. Tickets are £30 per person.

Revolution

Deck the halls … with your own handmade decorations! Revolution has teamed up with Bad Ass Craft Club to get everyone crafting for Christmas. Show off your artistic skills with an afternoon of Bauble Painting on Sunday December 17 or give your festive scheme a Scandi twist by making Scandi Star Decorations on Wednesday December 20.

The Beatles Story

Create some Fab-ulous additions to your Christmas decorations this year at The Beatles Story, which has a series of Christmas Craft Workshops in its Discovery Zone on December 21, 22, 23 and 24. Join in a range of festive activities including making your own Christmas tree baubles, cards and a magical snow globe.
